1948 – Norman LaBelle opened the Pixie Restaurant. It’s reasonably priced food and car-hop waitresses attracted many guests. The Pixie is still the cornerstone of our company 62 years later!
1972 – Sweet Onion Restaurant opened. The Sweet Onion had an original menu built on a limited selection of soups, sandwiches, and dinners.
1974 – Mt. Pleasant Big Boy opened. Shortly after it’s opening, three additional Big Boy locations were established.
1979 – Ponderosa Steakhouse was opened in three different locations. There are eight Ponderosa Steakhouse locations open today.
1980 – Midland Sweet Onion location opened.
1989 – Hotel Division began when the Comfort Inn opened in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. We now have six hotels in our portfolio including:
1995 – Italian Oven Restaurant established in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
1995 – Our restaurant division took a major growth spurt with the addition of Bennigan’s Irish Pub.
2014 – Our Restaurant operations were sold to a multi unit restaurant operator.
